It’s 2010 and We Still Don’t Have Hover boards or a Moon City.. What Gives?

2010 the future is now! So where is my nuclear powered mech warrior suit that I can pee in? I tend to think we have been jipped and should have more futuristic things around us in our everyday life. In the 50’s the future was depicted in a fun,sleek, sexy way where everything was automated down to a robot who tied your shoes, sixty years have passed and I still have to wipe my own…Well at least things might be improving we are starting to see a newly revived interest in “lazy inventions”. Recently the innovators at Willow Garage have created a reason to start gearing up for the robot apocolypse, its name is the PR2. Now this machine is a fully functioning robot that can be programmed to do the most menial of tasks, from picking up your mail to even getting you a beer. They not only have created the first “shell” that can be specialized to fit most industry’s need, but have done it in a way where at the price of $400,000 could actually improve ones life. Now all I need is a small grant and  stocked fridge and Ill be on may way to world domination. Thanks Willow Garage!
